We're hiring a Summer Research Intern (paid) to support the research, evidence-building, and refinement of two “indices” I am building: The Abundance Index, and The Singularity Index.  Intended to help humanity track our progress towards global Abundance, and towards the Singularity.
As a Summer Researcher you'll be working closely with Peter H. Diamandis, MD, Founder of Singularity University and XPRIZE.  Your work will serve to build the connective tissue between primary-source data (FAO, WHO, UNICEF, IEA, World Bank, UNESCO, UN-Habitat, IFR, IAEA, BloombergNEF, peer-reviewed literature, frontier-lab benchmarks) and the weekly published numbers. This is a high-trust, judgment-heavy research role. You will not be fetching coffee — you will be defending Domain scores against the evidence.
The Abundance Index and the Singularity Index are structured frameworks created by Peter Diamandis to measure humanity's progress toward two complementary milestones:
Together, the two indices span 16 Domains, each scored from 0–100 against locked Core Gates (irreducible quantitative thresholds — e.g., "<2% global undernourishment," "<$0.02/kWh firm electricity," ">500M humanoid robots deployed") and Validation Gates (evidence of durable, real-world deployment). Composite scores are restated weekly and published in The Abundance Index (Update) and The Singularity Index (Update).
The 2026 baselines are 40.02 / 100 (Abundance) and 23.9 / 100 (Singularity). We are building the most rigorous, auditable, public-facing measurement system of humanity's progress through the 2045 window.
